Terms of service

By using illumiscore (illumiscore.com, run by Thompson SWE LLC) you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use it.

Flashing lights warning. A small number of people can have seizures or blackouts from flashing lights or light patterns, even with no history of epilepsy. If you or anyone where your lights are has epilepsy or has had seizures, talk to a doctor before using illumiscore. Stop using it and see a doctor if anyone has dizziness, changes in vision, eye or muscle twitches, loss of awareness, confusion, involuntary movements, or convulsions.

1. Your account

You sign in with an email address or with Google, through Amazon Cognito. Keep your sign-in safe; you're responsible for what's done with your account. One person per account.

2. Plans and billing

Free lets you flash 1 light for 1 team. Paid plans are monthly: Basic $3 a month (up to 5 lights, up to 5 teams); Standard $10 a month (up to 30 lights, up to 30 teams); Premium $20 a month (up to 100 lights, unlimited teams). Prices don't include sales tax, which is added at checkout where it applies. Payments are handled by Stripe and renew each month until you cancel. Cancel any time from Settings → Manage subscription; your plan stays until the end of the month you paid for. Not working for you? Full refund if you ask within 14 days of your first charge. We'll tell you before prices change.

3. LIFX and Govee

illumiscore controls your lights through LIFX's cloud with the token you give us, and through Govee's cloud with the API key you give us, so LIFX's own terms of service and Govee's terms for its API also apply, including their limits on how often lights can be controlled. When Govee asks us to slow down, a flash may stop early. illumiscore and Thompson SWE LLC aren't affiliated with LIFX or Govee and aren't paid by either.

4. Scores

Scores come from public scoreboards that we don't control. They can be late, early, wrong, or missing, and a flash can be missed or arrive late. illumiscore isn't affiliated with ESPN or any league or team; team names, colors and logos belong to their owners and are used only to show you which team is which.

5. Acceptable use

Don't use illumiscore to harm us or anyone else: no hacking, scraping, overloading the service, distributing malware, reverse engineering, or using someone else's LIFX token or Govee key without their permission. We may suspend accounts that do.

6. No warranty

illumiscore is provided as is, without warranties of any kind. We can't promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the extent the law allows, Thompson SWE LLC isn't liable for indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the last 12 months.

7. Ending

You can delete your account any time under Settings. We may end or suspend accounts that break these terms.

8. Changes

We may update these terms. The new version is posted here with a new date; continuing to use illumiscore means you accept it.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, and disputes go to the courts of Georgia.
