About illumiscore

Every run, every touchdown, every goal is worth celebrating. illumiscore brings that moment into your room: when a team you follow scores, your LIFX and Govee lights flash in that team's colors.

How it works

You sign in, connect your LIFX account (with a token from LIFX), your Govee account (with an API key from Govee), or both, pick the lights that should flash, and follow your teams. From then on illumiscore watches the scoreboards for you, all day, every day. When one of your teams scores, it tells LIFX and Govee to flash your lights in the team's two colors (or the colors you picked), then puts them back how they were. You don't need to keep the site open.

Scores come from public scoreboards. They can land a few seconds before or after what you see on TV, and streams are often 30 seconds or more behind. That's what the TV delay on each light is for: it waits that many seconds before flashing.

Leagues

NFL, MLB, NBA, NHL and WNBA; college football and basketball; MLS, the NWSL and soccer leagues in Europe and Latin America, with Champions League and Europa League goals. Want another league or a team we're missing? Tell us.

Your LIFX token and Govee key

Your LIFX token and Govee API key are stored in our database, encrypted, and used only to find your lights and flash them. They're never shown on the site again. Disconnect either one from your dashboard any time, or delete the LIFX token at cloud.lifx.com. See the privacy policy.

Who makes it

illumiscore has been flashing lights since 2022. It's made by Thompson SWE LLC, a small software company in Atlanta, Georgia, run by Joey Thompson, a Marine Corps veteran and software engineer. Questions or ideas go straight to him through the contact page.

Lights that work

Any LIFX light that shows colors and connects over Wi-Fi (bulbs, strips, downlights), and any Govee light that shows colors and is connected to Wi-Fi. illumiscore isn't affiliated with LIFX, Govee, ESPN, or any league or team, and doesn't get paid by any of them.
